Is there any way to fix a wet basement besides spending thousands on landscaping ?

I want to put a gym down here but everyone tells me the rubber flooring or horse stall mats would get eat up with mildew/mold underneath.

beaver system, or something, grind a channel around the edge drain.

holy fuck op, get some french drains around the foundation footers and a couple sump pumps.

Got a budget of about $100 to fix this or find a workaround

We used to clear the ground around the house. Lay a water resistant membrane around the foundation and build a berm on it all the way around. Worked like a charm. Water runs away instead of leaking through the foundation.

How are your gutters and downspouts?

dude that's gross and un-hygenic. have you thought about hiring a boreing company to bore out your drains. theres probably roots growing in your drains. you could try to snake them out first. do u have a sump? does the pump work? any flooring you install woyld grow black mold. u probably alrewady have mold growing. u should buy some abatement spray. do u find that you are always feeling kind of sic or have a plugged sinus?

Kek, this is pretty bad. Check your gutters and downspouts to make sure they're draining away from your house. That's free and easy. If that doesn't pan out, I dunno you have a poorfag mentality, and $100 wouldn't cover jack shit to fix it.

So don't put these in. Just workout on the bare floor. You just saved $100.

immediately i'd buy a fan to start to airate the water and at least get it off the floor
but thats a band aid fix

It'd cover a shovel for digging a trench around the house to seal up the walls

>> No.1860205

>>1860161
What's he gonna seal it with? Tar, brushes, rubber, etc are not cheap. What happens when his cheapo shovel breaks digging up who knows how many tons of likely hard dry dirt? What about the digging bar he'll probably end up needing?

Drain tile and day light into one of your asshole neighbor's egresses.

you know what's funny. i read this thread this morning and sure enough my basement is leaking after a week or so of on and off rain. ive been here since may 1st and there has been no leaks. i guess the ground has been sufficiently soaked enough for the basement to leak. its a small puddle in the corner that is comming from a wall. im just gonnatake the insulation out and spray it with bleach.
