I did that with a Laughing Man stencil I posted in "the other" stencil thread. I used the jolly roger for something different that I haven't got the hang of yet. Basically, I set my camera to the longest exposure time I can, and point it at the wall where I shine the laser through the stencil. The result I'm looking for is a laser skull and crossbones. I still have to figure out the ins and outs of it before it looks good, though my other laser pictures came out okay.

If you're spaying these on brickwork, you can probably ignore some of the finer detail on the top two layers, but if you're putting them on metal or something very smooth then cut out as much as you can.

you can print the images on any printer paper, but i would recommend attaching your prints to some sort of acetate (overhead projector stuff) and cutting your stencil.
The acetate is bleed proof, durable and rip resistant so you can use it over and over again

spray paint will give the sharpest/crispest lines - apply sparingly to avoid dripping (for best results do several thin coats per stencil layer) always make sure each coat/layer is dry before spraying the next one

The downside of spraypaint is that is pretty expensive and can be messy - be sure to mask the surrounding area and the floor beneith your work before spraying (i've ruined several carpets)

mid

A good alternative for indoor work is ordinary emulsion paint ( the stuff you paint walls with) Its much cheaper than spraying and you can easily mix your own colours/shades - get a couple of those little match pots/testers you get in paint stores in a strong colour then mix with white paint to form your 3 shades.
apply very sparingly with a sponge (dabbing) - again allowing time to dry and give each layer 2 or 3 coats. This is the method i normally use. Its cheap as fuck and no mess.
The downside to this is sometimes you get paint creeping under your stencil to form blobs so you might have to do a little touching up work with a brush to finish off your piece.

bumping with some oc got bored and needed a warm up stencil. will post another one i made

this is a old one i made but always liked and never cut it out because of that Red area i can't a find a way to bridge it to make it look nice. most likely do a bidge layer.

With that one you can work backwards.

-Cut out the whole black area and spray that.(inc all the gray and white bits)
-Then cut out the dark grey area and spray.
-When you do the light gray area you will get the little 'islands' on the cheek and neck back.
When you do the white for the eyes and mouth tape just add that little red bit. or cut out a seperate layer for it and spray black.

Working normally from light to dark will take about 6 stencils, or 4 if you fill some bits in by hand.

This might piss people off because its not original art but id really like Banksys rat series (sign holding, paint brush, camera etc) if anyone has them?
