Borax + distilled water. You'll have to look for a recipe. Borax you can use instead of washing powder, and it doesn't smell btw. You can also use it to rot-proof wood.

dude, just go buy the sams club/walmart brand. Its cheap ($7-$9) for 2 big huge bottles of the shit.

Plus if you are like me and use eyedrops to keep your eyes from drying out while wearing contacts just put some of the solution from the big bottles you use at night into an eye dropper.

(Just make sure you use the shit thats not acid)

I use ClearCare, which 7-8bucks a month that walmart sells their own version (exact copy) fro 5-6 bucks. Now this shit is intended for 30+day contact lenses, works fucking great.
If you just want something to leave your weekly lenses in, then buy some cheap walmart solution for around 3 dollars. If you can't afford that, then start wearing fucking glasses. Also, you "could" make your own saline, but I would advise against that.

yup, my doctor recommended clear care and some other shit like opti-free, which in my case was absolutely useless.
I do use clear care, but only because I researched it, not because some doctor told me to.

water, sea salt and a little preservative to prevent bacterial growth. you will have to get the salt/water balance right to be isotonic so as not to dry or swell your soft contacts. If you had hard contacts you can put them in anything...

ok none of you answered the question. water, sea salt and a little preservative. obtain a preservative from eBay or chemical supply. potassium metabisufate might be used and can be gotten anywhere. See what other manufactures use and try to obtain one of those, don't need to reinvent the wheel. probably could make 10 gallons for $10.

One last think you will need to get the water/salt content right so that it is isotonic to the contacts so as not to dry or swell them. probably only need to be close. do a search on this to get concentration. or go by taste.

Lastly get hard contacts...then it does not matter.
