Need advice. What do? install curtains up to the ceiling and all the way to the kitchen sink (Obviously ignoring the oven) or just over the door-windows?

kitchen. 6,6 meters wall to wall.

I'm thinking it's practical and aesthetic if they cover the kitchen window as well, or no?

Does that little window have the same height (distance between ceiling and upper end of window) as the large doors?

I think so. It's my first apartment ever, purchased it last month and got handed the keys today. I took these pictures while I was there earlier today.

>> No.1668325

Just to be clear. The pictures are of a combined living room and kitchen area. 3 meters wide, 6,6 long. The apartment is 35 square meters in total. So bedroom is 2x4 meters aprox, and entrance and bathroom is minuscule. I am having a hard time deciding if I should have curtains cover the whole wall just about, or only the big window/doors. I really appreciate any and all input

Only cover the large windows and give the small window a set in the same design but not connected to the rest.
Otherwise the curtains will cover the whole wall and it'll look weird somehow.

Alright then. I'll separate the curtains then from the kitchen window. Another problem is that the previous owner use to have closets covering the entire end of living room. Sun damage has made that area pale in comparison to the rest. This means total floor replacement then doesn't it?

>> No.1668355

Also, you can't have curtains that cover the heater on the wall, it's a fire hazard and the curtains will get ruined even if they don't burst into flames.

Just out of curiosity, what's that bound up thing in the open base unit?

I'll unplug the oven or maybe even remove it. I believe that's the hot water tank

Believe me, when there is firniture inside you wont notive the color difference anymore. It stands out like a sore thumb because the room is completely empty

Is there any way to fix the sun damaged floor/the not sun damaged floor situation?

I'll keep that in mind. I could just over it with a sofa or something, but when the time comes to maybe re-sell it could be a different story,

Thank you so much for the input :)

You mean heater, right? The oven is where you cook your food.

I thought the West was moving away from stored hot water, I guess it'll take time.

One pair of curtains over the sliding doors, one pair over the window proper.
