They didn’t keep up with the times enough I think. Like their basic screwdrivers, how long did it take them to come out with the TPR grip and diamond tip drivers. The Craftsman Pro brand was really nice and pretty much on par with the tool trucks but they didn’t keep it around long enough. Would be awesome to see Stanley revive that but they will never do it because of their other brands. At least SB&D Craftsman is bringing stuff back to US factories.

Fun fact: I have a Craftsman Pro hack saw from probably mid or early 00’s and it’s a rebranded Bahco made in Sweden, and the Snap On hacksaw in their catalog is the exact same thing.

I think when they moved manufacturing to China companies like Harbor Freight ate up their market share for the price point and quality. Will be interesting to see what SB&D has in store for the brand. Sears used to carry really quality products not just tools. Our Snap-On rep was a racist as fuck southern boy so it left a bad taste in my mouth concerning the brand. Doesn't surprise me that they snatched up a quality product like your saw. It's funny to me to see people taking out loans on boxes worth more than their cars because it says Snap-On.

I considered adding a table saw into the middle of the work table, but the RAS was $50 and gave me trivially easy crosscutting capability as a bonus, so I went with that. So far, pretty happy with it...though I've since discovered that the RAS's reputation is absolutely deserved.

You clearly have never worked in a smoke shop. The middle class smoke just as much and have plenty of stereotypes, only real difference is the middle class pretends to be connoisseurs because they buy fancy 'good' tobacco products. The absolute heaviest smokers that I encountered at that job were all middle class comfortable work at home sorts that could smoke all day in privacy without shame.

National statistics say otherwise anon.
Anecdotes are nice, but the trend for upper and middle class has drastically gone down and the poor are smoking at an increasing rate.
Also remember that the working class are not middle class.

it is anecdotal but still
>a company of 200 people
>2 or 3 smoke
>every new rule humiliates them further
>no smoking within ??? feet from the office
>they now have to walk all the way to a shelter that looks like a fucking bus stop in the back of the parking lot
i would also have them wear some kind of a yellow triangle that says "smoker".
fuckers sometimes smoke in their cars. i need to report them

It has gone down because not to long ago almost everyone in the middle class sat in their offices chain smoking, just because it went down means nothing. I worked that smoke shop for 2 years and 90% of the people who go to such a place a regulars, so you get to know them, lots of middle class people seemed to not consider themselves smokers because they do not smoke cigs, they smoke a pipe or cigars, lots of silly logic like that. Ultra Lights would likely not exist if it was not for the middle class, almost exclusively bought by them, Lights have a strong leaning towards the middle class, straights are almost exclusive to middle class hipsters.

>Also remember that the working class are not middle class.
No shit.

What exactly is wrong in your life that other peoples habits bother you so much? Are you the sort that is convinced that the person standing 20 feet away is killing you with their second hand smoke while you breath in the exhaust of the busy street like it is clean mountain air?

Statistics.
Im guessing that working the cash register in a smoke shop didnt pay for good insurance did it?

>>1625876
>everyone used to smoke
>laws to curb smoking, and health concerns have greatly reduced smoking specifically in the middle and upper classes

>"just because it went down means nothing", I didnt work in a hood gas station selling poor niggers single cigarettes from behind bulletproof glass, so my anecdotes are more true than national statistics!

Why should a part time job give full health care coverage?
>>1626033
Your use of statistics is rhetoric.
100% of group A smokes
50% of group B smokes
Group A decreases its smoking by 40%
Group B increases by 5%
Group A is better even though they still have a higher percentage of smokers?
You are abusing statistics and simplifying the matter, What if the smokers in the middle class smoke a pack a day and the smokers in the Lower class a pack a week? You can not simplify things that much and use it as proof of anything but your own arrogance.

All I said is that the percentage going down means nothing on its own, which it doesn't, and that the middle class still smokes. Not really interested in class warfare.

It’s just a power supply and some wire. I need me a scope. I really wanted to get one when I got my tax return but instead used part of it to take the girl to Disney and kept the rest.

you're supposed to feed the wire through the holes.

Yeah but all but like 2 are still wrapped in plastic because I bought that thing but end up using other wire I had most of the time. I need to grab more silicone wire, works so much better for small shit.

You can get an old analog scope from the 90s that will do all you need for less than the cost of one of your trips to HF.

>> No.1626115

>>1626102
I don’t spend much when I go to HF because I dislike spending more than $50 on any Chinese crap with a 90 day warranty.

The Rigol and Siglent that everybody loves are <$400 all day on Amazon, I’ll get one of those if I really get into it. I haven’t had the fucking time to play with electricity much lately.

And there are plenty of dual channel 60-100mhz scopes in the $50-100. range Do you really have any use for more scope than that?

>> No.1626125

>>1626122
Yeah but a fancy new one is <$400. If I get into projects enough where I think I need one, I’ll just buy it. Or I’ll buy the GF a $500 necklace and tell her I want the Rigol for my birthday. It’s not that expensive considering the shit you can do with it. Lots of info online about how to use a newer common model too.

I actually searched them on CL but I have no idea in the slightest about what I’m actually looking for, at least I know a brand new Rigol has good reviews.
