Hello /diy/

I'm trying to connect six 24v batteries into a series/parallel circuit. There's currently four batteries connected in series parallel. Could someone give me a simple wiring diagram? Thanks!

>Could someone give me a simple wiring diagram?

stop saying series/parallel like you know what you are talking about, and tell us what you are trying to do. Do you want 24 volts out? if so, they all have to be in parallel.

Those look suspiciously like 12v batteries.
marine batteries, if fact

Fair I have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm wanting 24 volts out. But the four batteries that are there are in series parallel right?

Yeah they are. I meant 12v batteries. I'm wanting 24v out.

Google what “Series” and “Parallel” mean first. Like the basic dictionary definition to start, and then the battery part.

Ok. I guess what's throwing me off is I thought the existing four batteries are in series parallel

four batteries.
left to right ->
battery 1 is in series with battery 2
battery 3 is in series with battery 4
batteries 1 and 2 as a pair are in parallel with 3 and 4.

if you want to add another two batteries to have three sets of 24v series pairs in parallel, for example battery 5 and 6 you would connect:
battery 5 positive to battery 6 negative to create a new series pair, then connect battery 5 negative to battery 3 (also battery 1) negative and battery 6 positive to battery 4 (also battery 2) positive.

wait until someone else confirms or draws a picture i don't want to be responsible for you killing yourself.
probably don't connect a full battery to a dead battery and be careful of hydrogen gas or something?

>common core math
>a bad thing

Of course, having a set curriculum across all states is bad. A curriculum tailored to getting you ready for typical colleges.
Math gets the brunt of hate because in addition to your normal memorization math, they also show it in abstract hands on ways using pictures and real life scenarios.
You know, to help those who need a hands on or a visual component to learn. Those kids who years ago would have just been considered "bad at math".

How awful trying to use abstraction for better understanding of math. Look at how great the USA has done with math in the past!

some **** sold me a bundle of 12v calcium marine, big bassas - but they aint responsive to my mickey mouse car charger, getting 11v or so. idk, but doubt these are all fkd, anyone maybe got a charger recommend/trick or two? ta

"No"

Common cores problem is it tries to circumvent logic with mnemonics and shorthand that is only useful once you understand the foundations of mathematics

Mathematics requires rigor, and no rule-of-thumb will help you learn it in any meaningful capacity.

once a 12v battery is down to 11.00v its more often than not fucked

12.00v is like 30% capacity or something

yeah, no, point appreciated, in theory.. but, hope dies last and all - point being, charger's (def.) underpowered for these things, and calcium needs higher charge voltage (?) - kind of hoping, charger more the issue, but maybe not. Good charger maybe throwing good cash after bad, idk, fug

Its series/parallel configuration, 2s2p
>>1597882
Yes, you need to connect 2 batteries in parallel for first bank and second bank parallel as well and then those 2 banks in series.
You can see first two are in series, 2nd two are also in series but they are parallel to first 2.

One two four eight sixteen thirty-two sixty-four 128 twofiftysix 512 tentwentyfour 2048 4096... I think they taught maths just fine back in the eighties. Oh, and i was considered "bad at math" until i showed my work, my way just happens to be different from the way everyone learned in school. Numbers, unlike letters, always behave as themselves. I looked into common core math and it made almost as much sense as that article i read about there being 37 distinct genders. Poppycock and fuckery.

10 minutes on wikipedia or /sqtddtot/ would have gotten you an answer. They're 12 V batteries. Make 3 pairs of them in series, then put those groups in parallel. Better yet, have someone who knows what they're doing help you.

>>1597904
Common core math is utterly useless, especially the early shit. AP, IB, and middle school advanced programs are the only thing keeping the collective IQ of this country above African levels.
