It is not that hard to cultivate them, there is just no guarantee when you get crops, may take a decade to get 3 mushrooms and then you get a year where you get pounds a day and than none for 4 years. No one knows what causes morels to fruit, the mycelium is easy to grow, one of the easiest in fact, but getting it to fruit is a mystery.

Getting to know you wild mushrooms and getting the certifications for selling wild foraged mushrooms will make you more money in the long run.

Hey, look, pic related is the first morel I ever found all those years ago! I dug up its mycelium, cultivated it in jars and spread the spawn around the white pines in my yard, they have not produced well the past couple years, but I got a good number of years where I had fresh morels in my breakfast every day for a month or so.

Morels are over rated. Only reason I went out looking was to get outside. By the time you cook them and all that they taste like regular mushrooms

If you can not taste the difference between a morel and regular mushrooms you are just destroying them in cooking or your taste buds are shot. While I find them overrated as well, they are vastly superior to your standard grocery store fare in every way.

Morels are a pain in the ass to grow in a lab or fermentation chamber. Literally the first parents on how to just came out few year ago. You can however grow then easily by season. Just brew a batch and add a few specs of ash and lemon, and pour into any ground. Takes a year tho.

Hey I actually have been researching how because I have some seeds. They should be put in terrariums, big ones. Also, get some tree bark because they like festering off of tree bark. Add some spores into some water and poor it in the water I believe.
