Paranoid? Its not like it doesn't happen. When you sign up for a card, its outlined in the terms that they can share the information with third parties. Sure, its just for marketing and similar things, but since the general air of this board is "fuck those guys, I'm doing it myself-" its pretty absurd to call TFH for preferring cash over card.
Besides, its better for businesses because they don't have to pay fees to whoever owns their credit card.

I've never had a credit card, I still had to sign an agreement saying they could use my records as they wanted with their associates.
Also, it costs businesses money to run my card.

Carrying cash, when you get mugged you will know it. If you prefer, feel free to have you and the businesses you support drained by fees for those who handle the digital cash for you.

I made a duct-tape wallet once. There's one HUGE problem with them though...the glue. Even if you let it set for months, the glue is still there. When you carry it in your pocket, your body heat warms the glue up, melting it, causing it to leak and make the wallet all sticky and the pieces of tape move all around.
