I sanded put a thin layer when it dries imma sand it again. Then apply a more natural looking color. Something like a shitty tobacco burst. Lots of sanding. How do you suppose i should go about the finish?

Sanded down. Next step wood conditioner. I wasnt liking the unevenness of the stain. And fuck me i bought the wrong kind of wood conditioner.(or stain whichever way you want to look at it.)

First coat of stain after wood conditioner. Bottom right is darker because i added some black in to fill the pores and grain and to make the grain pop out a little more. I already did that to the other side.

Sanded with 400 grit paper and then 000 steel wool. Right before the colonial stain. Gonna clean with ethyl alcohol first then put the last of the wood conditioner.

It surprised me too but its definitely a 3 piece. Its supposed to be mahogany but you know the chinese will use whatever they can pass off as cheap. With the thick camo finish it had i was totally expecting shit mismatched wood. The little surprises are the best. Pic related is another chinese guitar i dismantled.

Every step makes it look a little bit worse than before. Good job turning your shitty looking guitar into complete garbage.
You should have removed all the parts before doing anything, besides filling them with wood dust, you probably damaged a few of them while sanding.
The best thing you could do imo would be to remove all the finish from the body with a heat gun and a spatula, sand it completely and then apply some oil. Just stop being a lazy piece of shit and remove the pickups, the wiring and the arm first.
