this is a idea for a passive condensing pot still NO WATER NEEDED
this was intended to simplify cooling and eliminate the need for large amounts of water
the question is will it work?

Could you be more clear about what your idea is, I do not understand.

once the marbles get hot you'll end up with steam coming out of the tube end (iow you'll lose a lot of the alcohol as steam). not efficient.

the wash is heated in a 5 gal. pot with a 5/8 in. copper tube coming out of the top of the lid and going strait up to a container where it enters the container and continues to the top where the tube terminates, the container will be filled with small marbles, at the bottom of the container another copper tube will lead the condensed ethanol away from the heat source where it is collected

if this is for booze do shit tons of research. the first 1/3 of moonshine is unusable. And so is the last 1/3. Hope you make some stuff. Don't go blind.

umm believe me and its only the first 50 ml
and once you start reaching the end there isnt any methanol which is what makes you go blind but there are other unwanted alcohols
making safe moonshine is easy mode

yeah nvm it would get too hot

Yes, it would work. It's a packed bed,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Packed_bed

It is a common distilling apparatus. You can use it with air cooling (with heat sink fins)) or water cooling.
