How would I go about turning a shipping container into an underground bunker under the sea floor? Just imagine taking a bitch to your underground, underwater bachelor pad.

Dig hole, put seacan in hole (with you inside to check for leaks) then put dirt on top again. Ez

>> No.1287063

Re-enforce it with some wooden pallets and line it with crab meat and you'll be good to go OP

under the sea floor is too much pressure.
Try under a lake, yeah?

How deep is the water there? Need to know the pressure so I can tell you how to proper reinforce it. Also building an entrance will take some work.

>Also building an entrance will take some work.

but once you are inside it would be comfy, especially if OP paints the trim with a nice white trim paint.

I always have trouble with trim paint. I buy the expensive Valspar top-of-the-line but it never covers very well. I guess I'll never have children.

OP here.
I googled about >>1287112 and it looks like shipping containers don't like a lot of pressure on the outside of them. So....new idea.

How about I put a bunch of sand and water on the INSIDE of the shipping container, then I bring my girl to the OUTSIDE of the container? You guys see any problems with that?

Imma get laid!

>> No.1287512

Everyone who wants to bury a container under water should do so! Follow your dreams and ignore the haters. Your initiative will be rewarded with success!

Numerous containers survived direct hits from 30mm A-10 "Warthog" cannon during the Iraq war. The springy corrugations dissipate energy and the projos bounce off. The immortal Corten steel shells last centuries even without paint, which is only decorative. The US Navy has a fleet of containers at the bottom of the Marianas trench where they dock submarines made from containers for underwater replenishment. Hawaii successfully used lava flow to encase containers to make attractive tourist lodges. Transatmospheric scramjet powered containers have been developed into launch platforms for smaller containers to be used in the post-Brexit EU space containerstation. North Korea replaced their old dug shelters under mountains with containers painted like mountains. (The insides are painted with cute anime characters to boost morale.) Elon Musk prototyped an electric container to replace the Tesla since the container is more aesthetically appealing than the car and has a lot more battery room. The mayor of Detroit has decided to replace his decaying city with containers. The old buildings will be demolished and the rubble hauled off in other containers, loaded onto rafts made of containers, and shipped to China via the St. Lawrence seaway where it will be ground up and the metal residue used to make more containers. US Navy SEALS stealthily infiltrate enemy ports using containers cunningly disguised as containers. Israel is solving the Palestinian problem by storing them in containers. (Germany tried to solve the Jewish problem using wooden freight cars, but the container hadn't been invented yet.) Donald Trumps border wall will be easily affordable if built from containers. Any Beaners who slip in by other routes can be detained in containers then trucked to Beanland where containers will be donated as housing.

Build a giant fish tank and put the container inside, that will protect it from the deep pressure and as a bonus you'll have a nice view

nah mate you just gotta cut it apart and weld it inside out because if you reverse the panels the pressure would be reversed.

A 40 will cost about the same so unless you specifically require a 20 due to space or codes I suggest a 40' High Cube which I use if you actually build one. You can't get 20' High Cubes that I know of, though you could shorten a 40 easily enough if you wanted the considerable extra interior height. Only hassle would be cutting the bottom but that's not a lot of work and you can remove the screws holding the wood floor panels in before cutting the base.

Have fun and post results. You can also modify refrigerated truck or trailer bodies which may be more available depending on your location.

If one comes with the Thermo-King you can sell those or have literal killer air conditioning.
