This gave me a sensible chuckle, you ever wondered why he calls himself Tubalcain? (taken from wikipedia)

Genesis 4:22 says that Tubal-cain was the "forger of all instruments of bronze and iron" (ESV) or an "instructor of every artificer in brass and iron" (KJV). Although this may mean he was a metalsmith, a comparison with verses 20 and 21 suggests that he may have been the very first artificer in brass and iron. T. C. Mitchell suggests that he "discovered the possibilities of cold forging native copper and meteoric iron."[4] Tubal-cain has even been described as the first chemist.[5

>>1246350
i'll second this guy, i don't even like boats.

i'll nominate "John Heisz" with his 4 channels "I Built It". i may not agree with his every decision, but its not my shit/house.

"Metal Tips and Tricks"/"Build Something Cool", the guy has a lot of machinery and isn't afraid to take a mag chuck apart to repair it.

"Pierre's Garage" an old machinist who knows his ass from a hole in the ground. Seems to mentor "Phils Projects". recently he is reviewing cheap tooling though

i watch a lot of the machining channels already listed just to see how they decide to go about it. there is always more than one way to do it, some easier than others and some more precise than others, and some safer than others. sometimes i learn something, most of the time i see something that is going to bite them in the ass, either something wrong with their setup or using the wrong materials.

there is a channel listed i'm conflicted about but won;t mention, the guy buys cheap china crap and makes it more precise, but when he buys a kit he shows plans, and mentions just about all the dimensions. others won't tell you and will obscure the plans if they show them.

>He's fooled me about how casually he can trace circuits and repair things and recognize parts at a glance and layout boards by hand.
Dave Jones is intermediate-tier EE at the very best. He talks a lot and knows some things but he cannot really design quality stuff and makes mistakes that most EEs wouldn't make. He's getting old and he's not in the industry anymore so it's hard for him to keep up. But he has extremely limited knowledge of digital and RF domain.
He also rarely finishes his projects which says a lot about a guy who makes few videos a week and most don't require any preparation at all.

If you want to watch the real deal, watch some of the vids by that Iranian dude who also lives in Australia... I can never remember his name but he should be easy to find. Wouldn't surprise me if that guy had masters/PhD in EE. He's way smarter than Dave.

Don't get me wrong, I still watch occasional Dave Jones' video but he comes off so fucking angry that it's a huge putoff to me.
