Is it a screw? Then grab one of those things. Lowe’s sells (or sold?) a Kobalt branded one for like $15, the same exact tool is sold under a bunch of different brands in different packaging, the auto parts store sells one in a Lisle package for $35. Just checked Lowe’s, got replaced by the Craftsman for $5 more.

Those are popular for the brake rotor screws, may be better for your use than an impact wrench/driver because it drives the bit down into the screw while turning it. Less chance of stripping it out. Lowe’s actually has it in the automotive section.
