Get a corded impact wrench then. I keep shilling the Porter Cable. It’s a great buy for $80, it will save you a bunch of time whenever you need to take the wheels off a car and will take care of jobs like yours that are giant headaches with hand tools.

Otherwise if you have cordless tools, get the impact from that brand. Bring that bitch on road trips in case you get a flat.

What are you planning on buying?

I just put my old corded one up on sale. Was my first impact wrench and I was amazed how much time they save. Literally any job where you need to jack the car up and take off the wheels, the impact wrench will save you half an hour compared to cracking the nuts loose on the ground with a breaker bar, jacking it up, and then going back with a ratchet to finish taking them off.

I would definitely recommend the Porter Cable if you’re on a budget. It’s not 1000ft-lbs powerful like the Earthquake or big Milwaukee-DeWalts, but it pops off nuts that took my ass hanging off a 24” breaker bar. Plus some parts aren’t so tight that you don’t have the torque with hand tools, but they don’t come off well with the steady pressure from a breaker bar yet the impact will shake them loose in a couple seconds. I think Amazon sells them for $80, but I got mine at Advance Auto because you can order online with the 25% off coupon and snag it for $75 and pick it up at the store like 20min after you pay online.
