Tho if you ever put a disposal/garberator in there it might not line up too good.

You could also use a "Wye Tap Saddle". But that requires cutting into the stack. Not something to take lightly. A reciprocating saw can do this starting from a drilled starter hole, but you always run a risk of shattering the cast iron.

I'd ask a plumber.
