Got to love what a handyman "electrician" will do, I'm always finding shit like this.

this is some OLD OC of mine

in some previous "re wire work" some asshat put pieces of cut off romex sleeve over the old cloth wire.
it was like this all over the house.

almost as bad as seeing a nice new 3 prong outlet, in a nice new box, connected to nice new romex wire... but pull the box from the wall and see a pigtail of romex nutted to the old cloth knob/tube with the ground wire doing nothing.

>working in old house
>electricians had finished up
>building inspector signed off house as 100% rewired to code
>find this as a hot feed to a lightbulb and 1 outlet
>call up electrician
>he blamed his lazy sub

riiiigggghhhhtttt...
