>why are chicken coops always built as small, cheap and shittly as possible?
They aren't, but buying/making an expensive coop just means it's going to be decades, not years before it pays for itself.
This is a chicken tractor not a full size coop. You can get away with a smaller size because the foraging area changes regularly.
>OSB? really? zero weather proofing at all
Anon, are you serious? OSB is weatherproof and I painted mine with sealer. Does it last as long as plywood? No. But it's easy to replace and more durable than plywood.

Dude, you are missing the forest by staring at a tree. If he didn't want to fuck up he would have done it the "right" way. Some people enjoy navigating problems creatively. This clearly isn't just about having a yacht. If he wanted a yacht from a plan he could just build one from a plan, everyone knows that. Have you ever done something creative in your life anon?

>But what do you know about structural- and building-systems-engineering?
Not much other than how a house is put together in general
IE I know houses generally have footing and floor slabs, Good to have air flow through a house, Frost line is diffrent in various parts of the country, Live load, dead load, cant have only one way in and out of a basement because fire hazard, good to have egress windows, stair placement affects room placement, 3' min hallway width, Room placement matters a lot, walls have systems, floors have systems, 8' Is a good height for a room, kitchens need to be set up in a way where it feels natural to move around in them, same goes for houses, ect. It would be more of a learning thing for sure. I still dont know alot.
