My buddy let me borrow his for lake Braunig. It was fun, but there's an electric only lake called lake Boerne not too far from my house. I figure not having to worry about a carburetor gumming up over winter is one less thing to have to work on so the trolling motor gets me by just fine. I did take her into a bay for a fishing tournament with the motor. Took my nephew up front and towed my sister behind us in her kayak. I was pretty surprised how much you could do with a 10' boat.
