I work in the industry automation industry.
What brand of PLCs are you familiar with.
I understand that ladder logic is largely the same across most brands, but I find that I greatly despise the two industry leading standards, Automation Direct's Allen Bradley, and the German nightmare Siemens.

That said, the Korean underdog Koyo Click is an absolute dream to work with and never gives me anything to complain about.

Good luck seducing students with the allure of sweet, sweet, industry automation.
I'm sure they'll have a great time learning how boring and mindnumbing it can be. :^)
