300 is too much for a (good, used, CL type of) vacuum pump
100 will get you shitty gauges though (even a set of used ones)
both can be used for cars AC too
fuck recovering the refrigerant, so, all new
basically ~500 plus work itself
this being a DIY board, I wonder what the average poster would do
and by poster I mean an actual DIY-er, not people starting a thread to ask how to fix a hole in drywall

OP here

the trunk is short enough that I'll only need 2-3 steps up a ladder to get where I need to. Low enough that even if I fall, nothing will happen. If it was any higher I'd tell him to hire someone.

Getting back to his HOA, the problem (I think) is that most people there are old and living there for a long time. This guy is relatively young and he just mover there less than 2 years ago. Maybe, with time, things will get better. Funniest thing was the HOA rules book:
>'bout 300 pages.
>nothing that produces fruit on the property
>grass should be of a specific species
>grass shouldn't be higher than xx inches or lower than yy inhes
>no weeds of any kind
>only a limited number of window types
>driveway needs to be clean of leaves and sealed every xx years
>no excessive decorations

When I had just moved into my house (no HOA) I made the mistake of asking my neighbor if it's OK with him if I were to cut one of the trees on my property (really close to his). His answer was 50% "I don't give a fuck" and 50% "why the fuck are you bothering me with all this stupid questions?"

>open fuse box cover
>see 2 (vertical) rails
>see circuit breakers between them
>too afraid to touch anything (to add one more breaker)
>switch off the main breaker

am I safe to touch the two rails?
am I a pussy for being afraid (with or without the main breaker turned off)?

help?
