>Anyone here make a tablesaw from a circular saw?

I've seen it done but I wouldn't recommend it. It's a hack. I just used a circular saw with a straight edge until I could afford a table saw. Even a cheap crappy saw like pic related is so much better in terms of accuracy and ease of use. I think I paid around $220 for mine.

Buddy gave a beat to shit tables saw. The stand was about the only usable part and even it was pretty fucked up. Been meaning to build a better one but this one works alright.

I recently upgraded from a crappy old 90's plasty craftsman to pic related. I reused the old stand in that mcguyver'd new stand until I can build a proper stand for it. Works well. Everything came square/level right out of the box. The rack and pinion fence is pretty sweet and the measurement guide is dead on with the kerf.

The only down sides are that it won't accept a dado stack and the table itself is small. I can work around the dado problem with multiple passes and when I build a proper stand with fold up outfeed and side wing I'll have plenty of workroom.

I like that if a friend throws up the bat signal on a project I can undo 4 screws and have a light weight and mobile saw on the way. If I had the room for a dedicated, big-ass, cast iron bitch I'd love to have one. I see old craftsman, delta and other belt driven units around here on CL every week or two for around $150. Most of them just need a tune up to be as good as new.

I used the crappy old stand off my crappy old craftsman to make pic related. It's pretty solid and isn't going to tip over. Just something I threw together so that I could use the saw until I build a better one with a folding outfeed extension.
