There are some basic books out there which deal with household DIY, basics around how to paint a wall, unclog a sink, cleaning windows properly, getting leaves out of gutters, drilling holes in walls to hang a picture etc
Apart from that, the internet is a fucking life saver for really obscure shit like trying to remember which colour of wire goes into AC voltage lamp plugs and how not to murder yourself with power tools, to some extent a lot of it isn't hard, but it can get really hard if you fuck it up and have to do it again and that sort of holds true for a lot of things.

When I think of all the dumb shit I've done with my drill press, its fucking shameful like dressing up a child out of season Halloween. Ultimately harmless but it died a few weeks back presumably from just lack of will to live. I genuinely fear my bandsaw though, I've seen dumb cunts send their palm through one, split fingers in two and all kinds of mad shit, so it gets mad respect.
