Hello /diy/, on this day. I am interested in starting a terrarium. My medium will be a 1-5 Gallon aquarium (haven't decided which yet) and I've decided I want to grow hardy, nondeadly mushrooms on a log, and maybe some other plants as well.

Also of fungi and animals just don't go together I can change my plans.

My question for you (and maybe this is more of an /an/ question) is what should my predator be? Right now I am between a mantis or a frog. Either would be cool because I can feed them ants and spiders that occasionally dot my home. It's important to me that this be something that can possibly survive around a rotting log and fungi growth, since those will be the centerpiece of my terrarium. pic unrelated.

Hey /diy/, I work at an Italian restaurant, and we throw away a lot of corks. I've been pocketing them to save them from the trash and now I've amassed a lot of corks. Are there any cool projects I can do with all these corks? I collect about 2 or 3 per night. So far I've thought of making a corkboard and a trivet but I'd love to hear other ideas.
