I hear you and agree. I've been meaning to do that for some time, for forging and metal casting. Though for the stock removal I've been doing lately is just for carving knives with thin metal so a blowtorch and toaster oven work well for it.

I'm still gathering the last of the parts for making a pocket folder I was going to do this winter, but farming has been eating up more time than I expected.

Interesting. Mine are also from pruning. Mostly American sycamore and walnut, but also some multiflora rose and random stuff.
