there are a lot of really nice visualization toolkits. i'm not sure if one would exactly fit your need, but it's worth a look-see.

really the hard part is the interface, so you'll want to research some data visualization techniques for what you're thinking of. probably have to code it in javascript, unless there are more libraries out there that i don't know about (protip: there probably are).
