Hello,
Why are trades people so mean? I go to apprenticeship apart of college. They say Klaus go fourth! Contact and attain job! Klaus, agrees, Klaus goes to machine shop.Great success was had, though they dislike klaus. They hire klaus, they trick klaus, they injure klaus. Stunned! Shockingly! Really weighed a lot to me. Many tears.

Anyway i contacted OSHA and now they are extorting me opening myself up to every comment made about a certain companies behaviour to 38 different companies/regulators/agencys/standards association/trade consortiums across 4 countries.

Any other trades stories?

Only if this big piece of land was located in international waters and unclaimed by any sovereign power

Assuming you're in the Unite State then I think no you can't because the local government council will still have authority over what the land can be used for, and state and federal police could easily usurp your town if you broke any laws.

Heres how it would play out:
>you buy piece of land in the middle of nowhere
>want to build a town
>you have no water supply
>ask council for water main
>'no sir, that land is classified as environmental management and we couldnt justify the cost'
>you have no electricity
>ask council to provide power
>'no sir, that land is classified as environmental management and we couldnt justify the cost'
>you convince a few morons to live in your town on a supply of bore water and barely sufficient solar power
>buildings are constructed poorly because you could not afford good quality builders
>people who rented/mortgaged properties begin to leave
>as you stare over the half-constructed wasteland you had so much hope and vision for you notice an overweight bald eagle land atop the solar panels, it promptly takes a giant dump all over the panel, rendering it incapable of harvesting sunlight
>as you chuckle to yourself at the irony and symbolism of this occurrence the bald eagle lets out one pathetic "CAWWW!" before keeling over and falling to its death into the bore water tank below, irreparably tainting your town water supply

What are some things I can make which are reasonably cheap and also useful? Preferably something I could just pick up on a weekend and then leave throughout the week. I've been thinking something like small woodworking or carving small sculptures but I dunno.
