taping cash to the bottom of drawers, behind door frames, or anywhere similar is a shit idea. any professional burglar with more than an hour in your house unmolested will check every place you could tape cash if they suspect you have some. hard to reach, random places that would take weeks to check otherwise are best. so put that cash under some insulation in the attic or in a hole in the wall behind a piece of loose wallpaper. if you go away for the weekend and someone breaks in, you want it to come back before they find it. and ffs don't put it under you mattress.
