ok fuck this, i need a workbench. i've been making do with a 10 cm wide part of a stone wall for way too long. i'm still dirt poor (i don't even own that wall section) and don't really have anywhere to put a workbench other than in the yard.

any ideas on how to make a workbench on the cheap without already having a workbench?

i've been thinking of using a wooden door maybe. pic related too.

do note that it's gonna be outside 24/7, so i'm going to need to weatherproof it somehow. extra points for a way to put bench clamps somewhere in there.

I do this for a living.

Make a slurry out of cement, pigment, and water, and rub it in with gloves. (Takes practice to get good at - You will prolly miss many holes your fist time through. If you let it, water will fill the holes keeping the slurry out - Try to avoid this. But don't let it dry out. Use a spray bottle with a fine mist.)
Keep it moist and hot (to speed up and strengthen cure).
Grind again with your final grit, to remove the slurry residue - But be careful not to go too deep as you will open more holes.

Post a better pic.
Did you pour it upside down?
What's with the discoloration?
Have you even ground/polished yet? (Maybe you don't plan too?...)

Here's something I made.

I help make architectural concrete for a living.

Any particular questions you have?

Thank you.
Yeah, we don't halfass things around here.

If I recall correctly, it weighs about 150lbs.
Best fucking thing ever though.

Sorry OP, I really didn't mean to hijack your thread...
