I painted an old dressing table I received earlier today and applied the last coat six hours ago - how long should I let it rest before reassembling it and using it? The paint is dry but I'm not sure if I should let it sit and rest longer to be safe.

I have breaks in between classes where all my friends are busy doing some shit or another. I need something to do. Hopefully something that doesn't require a huge workstation and different tools. Origami? I don't know, just anything to pass the time. Small or big projects.

I live in the lanc area and this is a common problem for everyone.

you should use wire mesh cut to size, not fabrics. yea it could start a fire.

buy canned compressed air and hold it upside down.
spray bug within an inch it will freeze instantly
>super effective

Hey /diy/.

I'm going to the beach tonight, and I think it would be pretty cool if I could bring a LED football. I've been to about 4 stores, and all I can find is some nonsense where you have to wear goofy glasses.

Any ideas on the right kind of LED light strip to buy/use? What glue I use to attach it? How do I power it?

Any ideas, /diy/?

I have some pieces of leather from which i plan to make some steampunk-esque goggles that also have the added benefit of seeing in infrared vision.
However, somehow, no matter how much i boil my leather it just get wet and hot, it does not thicken, firm up or ANYTHING.
My leather is garment leather and i do not know its treatment, but it is not a natural leather colour(pink), could this be the reason? I seem to read that you need a certain type of leather, cured with veg oil.
If this leather IS useless for water hardening, can /diy/ recommend me another method that requires little cost (no beeswax). I'd rather not glue it, but if it needs it..
Normally i'd go to /tg/ but they are being useless today.
tl;dr
Please help me with my fail leather.

Hi /diy/nosaurs

I have an electrical problem I'm trying to solve.
Let's say I have an IR/motion/metal sensor. Given that there will be an IR/motion/metallic signal for about 2-3 seconds, how can I construct a circuit that will turn on and stay on once the signal is received?
Additionally, how could that circuit be turned off using a signal or a manual switch?

Thanks in advance!
