hey /diy/, i am currently on vacation, and so far i have been bored out of my mind, could some of you give me ideas for basic projects?
I like the idea of crafting stuff out of wood, as i have easy acess to it, but i don't want something basic as sculpting on twigs. give me some basic engeneering stuff. or anything you would find quite easy to do.
TL;DR give me ideas for what to do with my ungodly amount of free time.

okay /diy/ this is the first time i've come to this board. and i need your help.
Its fathers day coming up, and i have no money. i need to make my dad something. for his birthday a few months ago I made him a duct tape wallet (pictured) and a few other things and he really liked them. so /diy/ what could you suggest using little household items? i do have some duct tape left. but yeah, any help would be bloody great. thanks.

I'm looking to get a christmas gift for my dad. I want to get him a small wooden shield or plaque with a favorite poem of his etched into it. Anyone know of any shops I should check out or an online store? google hasn't helped me all that much.
