When I was a kid and I misbehaved, my father used to punish me by pulling his shirt over his head, and tucking his arms in, and holding an ax through the head hole in his shirt. He would then refuse to do anything that an ax with legs couldn't do, so for example, instead of cooking dinner that night he would just smash the cutlery draw with his ax head, and I would go to bed hungry. Or if I wet the bed, he would smash the bedsheets with his ax head. This might sound 'fun' but he was a fucking drunk and used to do it to traumatise me. my mother was scared to intervene because apparently he did the same to her and once hit his ax head into her asscheek and gave her a pretty bad scar. He used to do the ax man whilst making horrific metalic noises with his mouth which he could do even when drunk.

so, my biggest fear is any of my axes growing legs and attacking me. My father is dead now but I still have nightmares about his ax personality. so its not really safety related (I am very careful when working) but it is my worst DIY fear and I do get irrational if any of my axes goes missing that maybe it got up and is now sentient.
