there was a house for sle last month, one of those homes that was bult in like 1915 farmland and the area grew around it so now its stuck between a bunch of 70s homes.
i guess the owners died or left the house because it was in terrible shape (google street view showed that as recently at 2009 it was actively being lived in)
It even had a small little guest house out back on a 3x lot size of every other house out there.
anways, had it been taken care of it wouldve been a great house, but it needed so much work the realtor was selling it AS-IS CASH ONLY. I assum whoever buys it will just demo it for the land and build something else

Whats the real shit on trying to fix up an old house? Going to go look at one on Friday. If you can get the house/property for 50% lowever than most homes in the area and spend 30-40% of that to fix it up, is it still worth it? I figure foundation damage is just walk-away immediately. Looks like its been passed down the family for generations, but its been unoccupied for 2-3 years
Guy wants 125k while most homes in this area go for 180-200 in great condition. For some reason the house never had a city sidewalk built in front of it.
This house has a huge lot which could always be sold into two smaller lots. It was built in 1916 and has a guest house and shed probably untouched since the 1900s. The inside is pretty rough, floor tiles and wall coverings are toast, roof is nearly busted. No idea how the pipes and fixtures are. Im guessing this was a farmhouse back when this land was nothing 100 years ago.
