I just want a cheap PC desk with some parts aiming for functionality, like drawers and such, keeping it lightweight and apartment-friendly. I think that makes me exclude desks made of nice materials.

The longer I lurk sites looking for a desk, the more I think I should make my own. As for the price, I have a carpenter friend, so I think he won't hit me too hard.
