Hey /diy/, first time posting here.

Any idea on how to remove rust from gardening blades? Got some shears, a sickle, that sort of thing that have been left outside for what looks like years.
I've used a steel brush to scrape the worst of the rust off so I can at least see the metal beneath, but I'm not sure what next. Sandpaper? If so, what grit.
