Man the last time I dealt with that shit

>planning a house build
>wifey buys 900 square feet of Bruce because black Friday sale
>didn't even pour the foundation yet at this point
>fast forward to flooring time
>bust open the Bruce
>dad was with me but he already knew as did I
>3.25" inch flooring prefinished
>1/10 were straight
>most were so stained they looked charcoal
>many missing tounges
>machined width would change along lengths or actual pieces would be entirely skinner.
>buying it on black Friday emptied the stock. Line was now discontinued.
>nothing even close by Bruce at the store
>redid alot of pieces because you couldn't tell until you nailed it in with the air hammer and mallet.
>focused extreme knottiness under the beds and in the closet.
>mfw it was the hardest flooring I've ever had the displeasure of working with and this wasn't my first.
>mfw we got the store to take back a box and a half of the worst pieces we had (that weren't desecrated) but looked like tumours pretzels.
>mfw wifey wanted to get Bruce again for the other 1000 square feet

What projects are you working on? What's your long term goal for the house (besides selling it)?

>be me
>neighbors built fence along their property 20 years ago
>I bought my house 8 years ago
>looking at records and satellite data, their fence is 10 feet over my property line, eating up around 500 sq ft of back yard.
>do I hire a lawyer? Is it worth it? They'll fucking hate me if I make this a legal thing
>should I just let bygones be bygones?

Halp

Need a wireless switch that can reach through like 7 layers of plaster walls in an old house to a transceiver in the basement.

>wall mounted or key dongle switch, either work
>the receiver end should use absolute minimal power, something like a 9v battery for 8 months or something maybe? More is ok, but wanna avoid plugged in
>the 2 outputs from the receiver need to only do one thing: short the terminals.
>can't have power output and don't want power output, only need to close a circuit.
>press wireless button, closes circuit. Ideally this would be on a 15 or variable minute timer or something like that.

Basically this is so that I can be in my shower, upstairs, and turn my furnace on so I get hot water constantly.

>on-demand hot water through my old steam furnace
>can't keep up with itself and it's own internal thermostat, water gets cold fast
>but if it's running constantly, I get unlimited hot water

The shorted circuit acts like my house thermostat, telling the furnace to "turn on house heat and make dat steam". I want to truck my furnace to turn on so I can take a comfy shower.

>I don't understand electronics very much, and everything I see has a voltage output to their wireless switches (9/12/120/240/etc). I can't have this.

Any help or amazon or chink shit links?
