i was also one of the contributors who made my own box fan, but to expand on that

i remember there was a consensus that box fans are not ideal for the job because of the fans is not built to operate under air pressure, and a inline fan filter (pic related) is a much better solution that will last longer and more effective, although more expensive

mattias made lots of fan filters and one of the experiments he did was just blowing a box fan into a filter a few inches away without even attaching the two together, but it is still effective at reducing dust
