Interesting. I work in a restaurant too and came to /diy/ for the purpose of making a cork thread like this. Not only that but I've been collecting egg cartons for soundproofing too. I wonder if I could combine corks and egg cartons for super soundproofing?

More to the point, I have mainly tapered champaigne corks, not cylindrical wine corks and I imagine you'd need a metric fucktonne of corks to properly soundproof 5 walls.

So, fuck that.
