Hey, /diy/, I have a wall hanging question. If I were to take neodymium magnets, would they be strong enough to attach to a nail or other fastener? This is in the interest of hanging photos. I helped a guy do it once, but he had magnets on either side of the print and not only did it leave a gap under the print, it also doubles the magnets requirement. Any ideas?

OP, I have slapped a couple of biggish rare-earth magnets on my anvil, and it really helps reduce the hearing-destroying ring to a nice dull "tonk" noise.

That's not a bad idea, either! Anything that would stop a bell from ringing will work on an anvil.
