Of course I’m not about to use them on my engine block. But it’s better to have them and not get jammed up in the middle of a project.

Can you open up the case of the thing? Where the charger plug in the vacuum or whatever it was, maybe you can pop a plastic cover off and find a connector or soldered point inside and you can clip the power supply probes to that

Or take the 15v and go straight to the battery pack and you should be able to get like half charge out of it.

Become a good salesman. It doesn’t matter what the fuck you’re selling, it could turn turds into solid gold, you gotta git gud at selling and networking if you ever want to get it on the shelves at stores.

At least it’s 2019 so the internet is a thing, it’s a lot like music. You can break into the market without a huge backing but just like music it doesn’t matter if you’re Guitar Jesus or Lil’ Yachty, you need to convince people to buy your golden turd.

No I’m talking about where the wires coming up from the switches terminate at the fan motor, the “L-M-H and N”, they have a single tiny little strand of copper soldered to them and that copper goes to the fan motor. So there’s like 1” where all of that power to the motor is traveling through one strand of copper.

Also I was soldering and then using a little butane torch for heat shrink and I realized I was about half an inch from a thermal fuse that blows at 130F. I’m glad I remembered that small detail before I fucked everything up. Checked for continuity between the fuse leads like 10 different times.

I’m on the fence about clopping pic related this weekend. There’s always coupons for that thing but I think they’re $62.99, that’s a steal at $50. Those Portland tools aren’t all that terrible for occasional use, I grabbed a hedge trimmer and it’s straight for $30 or whatever I paid.

I mean impact drivers still are great for regular screws, but not the newest range of brushless 18v tools. The older NiCd DeWalts did great for your average 2”-3” screw in lumber, now that’s more of a job for a 12v tool or go with a cheaper brushed model.

I’m still curious about those settings on that Ridgid. It’s still going to have stiff springs and strong hammers but maybe whatever software they used makes it a little better than typical speed settings like on their other one that is only rated at 180ft-lbs instead of 200ft-lbs. That’s also why I partially disagree with you about trigger control, the individual impacts are still powerful even if you slow the whole thing down.

As somebody who did a couple semesters of ME, it will help but that doesn’t mean you will automatically pass everything. You still have to take your basic bitch college courses, and the college will probably use different software (although I’m sure it’s very similar) and then you have all the material science and chemistry and testing that goes into real engineering instead of just playing with CAD software.

I mean it will definitely make some of the early projects easier for you, but engineering isn’t like lots of other STEM programs where you take all bullshit classes the first year, we were 3D printing stuff at the end of the first semester. So it might only be 2 courses before the rest of the class is basically caught up with you and by the 3rd or 4th semester everything you’re learning is new.

The one I posted there is actually the old model I think. Just go to Walmart. Pic related is the one I got a couple months ago. And if you want larger totes, go steal some from behind a Walgreens or gas station. CVS has these big blue totes they use that fold flat if you’re not using them so it’s real easy to stack a dozen of them. Technically it’s stealing but nobody will really care if you grab a couple.

I like warranties with electrical stuff which is why I have to think real hard before spending >$40 at HF on anything with batteries or moving parts.

That $75 Wen doesn’t look bad, add another couple dollhairs for a clamp and should still be under a hundred.

Attach examples of your work to your resumé. You can always apply but they’re probably going to take a shitty candidate with the degree over you. But the key is to get your foot in the door somewhere, even if it’s part time or shitty pay, then you have a work history related to that design and will be closer in value to kid with degree but no real work experience.

Networking too. You gotta try your best to hide your power level and go meet people who may be able to connect you to potential employers.

You know, horse girls are crazy. Any chick that devotes her whole weekend to animals is damaged goods.

And then sometimes you’re seeing some pics and it looks like some regular innocent blonde with a sexy side and then somebody posts a video and there’s a dog at the end of the bed and the dog gets up and takes a sniff and you’re thinking “Oh no, please nooooooo!” and the dog starts licking and you watch for a few more seconds out of curiosity before clicking that “x” in disgust.

That girl could be selling you paint.

Not cool man.

I haven’t seen too many qts at my home improvements stores, maybe a couple 7/10 younger Latinas. And there was one decent white girl training in receiving at the Lowe’s I go to for work and I think she had a little thing for me, but she may have been one of those “I only hang out with guys, I just don’t get along with other girls” chicks and then she transferred to another store.

I need to start frequenting them more, especially the ones out in the burbs where the ratchet black bitches and dyke Puerto Ricans are unwilling to venture. But no dog fuckers, that ruins it for me. No horse girls either, even if they ain’t fuckin the horse, that’s just bad news.

Try a composite toe and it will make a huge difference. But I also wear the more athletic shoes so losing that steel makes them feel like regular shoes.

And those CAT shoes are fine as far as I have used them. They’re definitely not a premium union worker brand, it’s like department store stuff. Better than a $30 pair from Payless though.

I found one of those Craftsman cheap ones a few months back laying behind Lowe’s. My theory was some boomer broke the bolts holding on one of the wheels, brought it to Lowe’s because they sell Cman now and Cman = Lifetime, they told him to fuck off so he dumped the thing behind the store and bought a new Boomer chest.

Yeah I figured. That red one is prob like $120 and built the same as pic related, which barely holds up to the task of holding real metal tools.

Looking online I think HF used to have two lines of tool boxes, a basic like pic related and then a “Pro” which is built like the better Craftsman or Kobalt boxes, but now they just have one line and all the US Generals are closer to the better ones.
