I'm pretty sure you can get everything you need to recreate this room perfectly at Spencer's.

I've been thinkin' of doing the same thing.
You could try looking into getting some Revoltech joints.
They're joints used for Revoltech action figures, and allow a good range of movement granted you don't glue the joints into the holes. Really they're just ratchet joints, but you can buy them by themselves for fairly cheap. They even come in different sizes, and I believe you can even buy the double-joint kind. You can find some here: http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljlist?Word=revoltech&Dis=2&DisplayMode=images&Sort=std&
qid=AWO7IMTVS3Q&set=1&q=1&MacroType2=dolcloth
They're usually 4 dollars for 6 of them.
What you can do is make your mannequin, cut out the places where you want movement, and make snug holes to put the Revoltech joints in.

The problem with mire armatures is that they eventually snap off, same with the plastic if you're constantly moving it. With action figure joints you can interchange them or replace them if they ever break, so you won't ruin your whole mannequin.

Huh, scarf thread, nice timing.
I'm in the middle of knitting my first scarf, but I got a problem...
Since I'm new to knitting, my first couple of rows are pretty crappy (missed loops, uneven, what I don't even...), whereas all my recent rows have been just fine since I got the hang of it.
Now, is there a way for me to cut off the first couple of rows without having the rest of the scarf unravel?
I was thinking about putting tassels on it, would it be possible to tie up a row with tassels and cut off the rest?

So does this actually work on newer machines?
Seems a little outdated, and all the machines at my college are the newer types that have the option for you to use credit cards.

Wait, so a Bonsai is just any miniature tree?
I always thought it was just a specific type of tree.
Neat! Anyone have any good starters guides? I have a bunch of Pomegranate seeds, and this seems like a nice, long-term project.

Also fake fruit fall under the mold seam rule as well.

>> No.44923 [View]

>Handles
Mold seams, they can cut up your insides, even with sanding you can still get micro-tearing making it easier for germs to enter your system.
>Fruits/veggies
Germs cultivated from being in the ground along with animal manure and strayed with pesticides should not be inside a sensitive cavity that can easily obtain infections.

Thanks. I'm just afraid of water getting inside and staying in the stuffing forever causing it to smell bad. But I guess I won't have to worry about that too much with a damp cloth.
Will drying it with a hairdryer damage it, or should I stick to towel drying only?

Well, I can't say about the clothing. However, I have a papercraft file to make a full sized shield and sword.
They come off the template someone made for a full sized Link. You'll need a printer and a lot of cardstock...probably already colored if you don't want to waste 10 ink cartridges.
Papercraft isn't for heavy use unless you reinforce it with stuff to make the paper stronger, but if anyone's interested I can upload the template.

Does anyone have any tips on cleaning a stuffed animal doll without damaging it or having it smell bad or grow mold?
I have an elephant doll I've had since birth, but the poor thing is gettin' old and needs a wash.
I know enough about how to add more stuffing, just need to know how to wash.

I found it on /po/ when they were trying to figure out how to do it.
I believe you have to pay for the instructions, but you can try asking /po/ to see if they've gotten a hold of the scanned instructions yet. If not someone could have have make their own version.

Drill tiny holes in your door, about a foot and a half above the floor.
Use hole to shoot at their kneecaps with a pellet gun or paintbal gun.

Here's the plans for cardboard shelves.
There's no official instructions, but it should be easy enough to figure out by looking at the picture.
You need to make multiple cut outs of each shape to make one shelf. And of course if you stretch out the dimensions you could make a long shelf or tall shelf, but I think the square shelves are pretty nice.
I was thinking about making a bunch of small shelves, then making one long shelf that takes up double the space so I can stack it on top of two square shelves.

I'm not sure how it works with other stores, but I have a friend who works at a big name furniture n' office supply store; anything that doesn't sell, display pieces, anything they can't give away or do with, they destroy.
If they have a display chair, shelf, desk that's practically brand new, but don't want to use anymore they will take a knife, hammer, crowbar and destroy it before throwing it away.
Hammer up tables, break program disks, smash printers.
My friend said he nearly cried when he had to tear up a BRAND NEW high-priced leather office chair because the store didn't want to carry it anymore. Apparently this sort of thing happens in a lot of different stores. Damn waste.

I gave someone else tips on stencils in this thread
>>41071
Deviantart should have more tutorials on stencils if you need them.
Colors are all up to you; usually black is the standard, otherwise you can get something really bright. Matters on what kind of surface you're spraying on and what kind of message you're trying to get across...or just color preference. Personally I'm quite fond of a metallic electric blue myself.

Fucking shit works on everything if you let it sit long enough.
Smells great too.
But, yeah, if you don't have this stuff wash the lable off with hot water, that's all you need.
