sorry bro. that was like 6 years ago and i don't have the pedal to do it again. all i got is a big muff pi and a multi chorus, and those don't sound that great.
although i have an old transistor peavey head from the late 70s that has built in fuzz/distortion that sound fucking amazing on my upright.

it's a regular plywood upright. but i have a pickup on it.

one time i put it through an envelope filter and you could tap on it like a drum and make crazy noises. i spent over an hour doing bass/percussion and it was so rad.

OP what would happen if i played my upright bass through it?

i thought about it. but the processing power is shit, and not worth the effort.

if there was an OpenCL compiler for the broadcom gpu on the raspi it might be a reasonable low energy beowulf. but as it stands, not worth it.

if you're honestly interested, i've done a small bit of research and i think it's feasible. just not very practical. might be interesting to do a beowulf cluster that does something by way of home automation or something along the lines of embedded computing/beowulf smashup.

MITx's prototype offering, 6.002x, is now open. To log in, visit

https://6002x.mitx.mit.edu

where you will find a login button at the top right-hand corner of the
window.

Please make sure you're using the latest version of Google Chrome or
Firefox. If you've forgotten your password, the log-in form has a
place to reset it.

Once you log in, we recommend that you start the course by reviewing
the "System Usage Sequence" in the Overview section, and the "6.002x
At-a-Glance (Calendar)" handout under the Course Info tab. After you
familiarize yourself with the various features of the MITx platform,
you can jump right into the coursework by working on "Administrivia
and Circuit Elements", the first Lecture Sequence in Week 1.

Thanks for joining us for the ride!

then what is the point of the sub then? other than lulz

i know it's ambient, just the second hose from the top when you're not adding new food.

i fucking love your threads and project.
how do you plan to transfer food from the sub to the habitat? like a remote controlled grabber arm or something?
since you're willing to submerge a chamber, why not run another tube next to the air tube that has a large enough diameter to drop food down? keep the food tube closed most of the time, and just open it to replenish food. seems a lot less complicated, unless you're really into the hamsub idea :3

this. tbh it's way too much for a single person to do in a reasonable amount of time. if you're really digging on machine vision, buy a kinect and do some simpler tracking stuff, then apply to grad school and do it for real.

there are a lot of really nice visualization toolkits. i'm not sure if one would exactly fit your need, but it's worth a look-see.

really the hard part is the interface, so you'll want to research some data visualization techniques for what you're thinking of. probably have to code it in javascript, unless there are more libraries out there that i don't know about (protip: there probably are).

then explain your position. and if he refuses again just stash it in his desk or something. or give it to him when you graduate.
