Its a terrible shame that we live in such an over sensitized nation. This is the same thinking that got playing sports on the playground banned at the elementary schools in my area. Everyone is afraid to get hurt, or even worse, afraid that they're feelings will be hurt. People need to grow a pair and learn to take a few hits on the way towards something better. I pledged a fraternity and would not take back a second of what I went through. Was it awful at the time, absolutely. But through it I became so close to my brothers and the fraternity as a whole. We live in a society where no one takes responsibility for their own actions, and being wrong is no longer a part of growing up. Parents coddle their children with a false sense of superiority, never allowing them to experience losing, being picked on, or anything else that helps create well rounded individuals who are capable of dealing with anything that is thrown their way.
