Never made a mould/poured resin before.

I'm making a lego piece in 10/1 scale (pictured). I am 3d printing the piece to make the mould around. I'm going for a translucent magenta colour.

What tips would you give for my first time? The bottom doesn't need to be perfect, would you say my best bet is to suspend the piece upside down from the top with a spur in the middle?
