I can't even get a Best Buy credit card because we just moved and that neutralized the GOOD credit I did have (it's called a "hard look" or something when a landlord checks your credit, I've been told).

I have student loans. Everything else I've paid cash for, including three cars, and I've never owned a house because it's always been better to rent for us. We're even renting a 300k property right now for $600/month because maintenance is included in our rental agreement.

I can look into it.

Thanks. I'll look into them. I don't really plan on the loans being for very much to begin with - I'm not going very large scale - so if the kickstarter thing falls through, I'm going to do something -like- this. We don't have a community kitchen, but the local college already has a mobile food kitchen that they don't really ever use... so I'm thinking I might be able to sway my way into that for starters.

Sound advice. I'll try. My first response sort of goes for you, as well.

Anyone have experience starting a food truck/concession trailer/food cart? It's my dream to do this using only local food (I live in a hipster local culture town - I think there's enough desire for it here). I'm currently finishing my business plan. I have a few names in mind, and I'm going to somehow design a logo or trademark with the name as the last couple things I have left to do.

I have no credit history, so I'm probably going to end up doing a kickstarter type thing after my loan attempts fail, and then eventually drink myself into a depression and continue on with my meaningless job that I have now. But I thought I'd ask for your advice first, /ck/.

I was unemployed for a long time and learned to get a better deal by buying directly (legally or illegally) from local people. I got a whole lamb (including all organ meats and the head/brain and all the excess bones for stock/my dog) for $4/lb - only 3lbs of this was ground and it was from the neck. I get my milk for $3/week or every other week from a really nice, hygienic farmer down the road.

Venison, refried bean and rice fajitas with lettuce/tomato and salsa. Camera's out of commission or else I'd take pics.

It's really tasty, but it's nothing like real pasta. You can eat a ton of it, so it is satisfying - and it is delicious in its own way.

It's called quick bread. I'mma copy/paste for you since you're pretty fucking dense:

3 cups flour
3 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
3 tablespoons hot water
1 (12 ounce) bottle beer
1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease one standard loaf pan.
2
Mix all dry ingredients together.
3
Slowly stir in one bottle or can of beer and the 3 tablespoons of hot water.
4
Mix until just blended, the dough will look shaggy.
5
Pour dough into greased/buttered loaf pan and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
6
Let loaf cool on a rack for ten minutes or so before cutting. If you prefer a softer crust, you can wrap the loaf in cling film or put into a zip bag.

I haven't had milk for ~6 years because of lactose intolerance. I recently tried some buttermilk biscuits I'd made and had a giant shitstorm happen, but then tried some rasgulla I made using Horizon organic milk and I was fine. I even had an 8oz cup of the Horizon. Weird, right?

Alright. I had a handful of "all natural" (another horseshit term) gummy bears from a vending machine two days ago, and annatto was the only trigger ingredient used. I also got sick two weeks ago eating annatto in a processed cheese product. At least I'm not allergic to caramel - it's in everything. Fucking everything.

Sorry, I didn't mean anything like "Whole Foods," I just meant that you have to start with base ingredients and make things yourself to ensure that there aren't any ingredients not listed. Sorry for the confusion.

Forgot the part that wasn't talking about me - start cooking all your own meals from whole ingredients or you'll end up ingesting these ingredients without knowing.

>> No.3811667 [View]

Hey OP,

I don't know of any website or app that helps you do this, but I do know that you're going to spend a lot of time talking to companies to find out what ingredients are actually in processed foods.

I have an allergy to annatto (a natural coloring), yellow and red food dyes. I can have caramel colorings (mostly because it's natural in some way or another), so I'm not sure why annatto causes me such a problem. I have longterm scarring on my lungs due to asthma from annatto, and whenever I eat these dyes, I have intestinal pain for 3-14 days and chronic fatigue. I was unable to build muscle and lost my ability to remember things short-term and long-term for 5 years. Pretty cool story.

Anyway, skin test probably won't help you since your symptoms are chronic fatigue. Have fun with the elimination diet, and if you need any help, be sure to ask and I'll try to reply!

http://www.diabeticlivingonline.com/recipe/cheesecake/ricotta-cheesecake-with-apple-topper/ This is pretty good. I have a million of these cheesecake-type recipes, but most aren't typed/found online. Cheesecakes, pumpkin pies and brownies made with zucchini, black beans or pumpkin are all really good.

It's easy to bake tasty things, but not easy to bake awesome things. I'm still pretty bad at it, and I've been focusing on making my baking better for about 4 months now.
