If you're >>5193811, with pleasure and joy. To crossover from the food baby post, the only time I get them outside of holidays is when I visit my local Southern Chinese restaurant. We order lots of spicy dishes and some tea smoked duck to calm our sad tongues. The predictable after-effects are completely worth it.

Try thinly sliced cabbage prepared in an acidic sauce. Boiling cabbage is pretty miserable, but it's still a great vegetable.

Post pics, OP!

That's awesome.

Mr. Rambles is back!

I never thought about putting molasses in tea.

I get them after holiday meals and feel zero amounts of shame. They'll be gone soon enough.

No, I can relate. There are few things more fun than getting to use repressed responses on annoying people.

A damn long time.
Rice is my go-to starch, but one person takes a long time to go through 400 servings. Thankfully, I have never been visited by weevils. Keeping most of the rice in the freezer helps.

It's essentially a custard, so no. Eggs are a big deal in this dessert. Because it's for Valentine's Day, you should definitely splurge and get the fresh farmer's market ones to avoid sad, limp yolks.

You don't need for the wine to be expensive. A Yellowtail red in beef stew is completely acceptable.

Deglazing is the shit, but be careful! Alcohol near gas stoves can be pretty fun pretty quickly.

Be patient. Let it simmer down into glorious meaty alcohol juices.

Don't go nuts at first, stick to obvious pairings that you're comfortable with. Experiment once you know how it should generally taste.

Have fun, OP!

Nothing less than lobster tail for Our Dear Leader.

His choice of sides, flourless chocolate cake with drunk raspberries for dessert.

I think I would actually be fine with that.

Is the rice super-bland, though?

We aren't all lazy. Get into Stew Saturdays, add an extra pot for broth. Two time-intensive yet low-maintenance tasks taken care of at once.

Helpful comment was helpful! I have wept and started over, or just made ridiculously oversized portions to even out the new ratio.

I like being an omnivore, but I'm sure that they're meeting their dietary requirements with B12 supplements and protein-heavy ingredients.

If not, that's a discussion OP should have with them. I'm still hoping that there's an epic prank war story attached to this, though.

Nope! I don't mind either of those ingredients, but I need vegetables on my plate to feel like the meal is finished.

I once did your image's joke with gatorade bottles.

There was no blood in the ensuing fury, but it was a close call.

Why would you have your vegetarian friend eat meat? It's either a health-based issue or a morality issue. Either way, it's too far to take a joke. Unless you near the end of a prank war, in which case we need storytime.

Chill, please.
Most deals on good cuts of meat are too much for one person. The first meal is fresh, but the others avoid food poisoning through the splendid wonders of modern appliances.

I usually like medium rare steak, but haven't had problems with cold centers. Perhaps it's the relative thickness of our meat cuts?

Good to know! I use jasmine for pretty much everything because 50lb sack in pantry. I'll get a little bit of one of the suggested types before attempting.

Keeping a herb pot indoors is pretty cheap and makes the room it sits in smell glorious. Texas winters are mild, but I grow them indoors because summer would kill nearly everything.

I was nocturnal for a semester. All of my classes were late evening and early morning ones, and my friends only had free time after my evening classes. I'd wake up for evening classes, hang out and do homework, attend morning classes, then sleep my D3 opportunity away. Rinse and repeat.

Multivitamins were a must.

Yes, sweetie, we know.

If you have healthy kidneys and your parathyroid hormone levels are good, you should be able to get all of the calcitriol you need out of D3.

The zest is pretty great, but the pith just ruins everything.

Maybe the dad wasn't trolling? My grandmother freezes strips of orange peel, pith included, and then consumes them like candy. It's not a health thing, she looks legitly happy while eating them.

I think you're referring to the assholes who upend the hot sauce bottle over their plate for a minute and then grunt in a macho fashion while consuming their tastebud-melting fare in a proud manner.

I like some burn with my flavor, but people using it as a method to prove their awesomeness look pretty ridiculous.

I go to a farmer's market in Dallas that has a good honey selection. It's really expensive, though, so I usually get it from the grocery if I'm just going to put it in tea.

>>5192983
Well, I know what I'm having for dinner now. Instant craving.
