Yes. There is an aftertaste. But it's nowhere near as bad or as long-lasting as the aftertaste you get after ingesting say a diet coke. It's far less bad. The point is that it tastes great as you eat it. And no, I didn't experience any long-lasting burps. I think you made that up.
