Slight greenish tint but primarily yellow. Particularly brighter yellows are sometimes false and done with safflower to trick consoomers. Deep, dark greens are harvested too early and will have a bitter edge.

If you look on the back it should just say "OLIVE OIL" and nothing else, but this can't always be trusted.

Avoid using virgin and extra virgin for anything but 'dressing', like drizzling on top of something that isn't going to be cooked. Basic ass 'olive oil' is completely fine to cook with. EV is typically priced up and cooking it annihilates any flavor difference you might have tasted.

"Blends" and "Light-tasting" and "light" and etc are pure goil, usually adulterated with soybean and other oil mixtures. Avoid Berio, personally I prefer Iberia branded oil because their bottles are well-labelled as to avoid confusion. They have a handful of blended oils but with combos that aren't made from "vegetable" oil. Picrel.

My goto is a decent middle-shelf bourbon. Easy to sip, easy to mix. Also gin is good. You should also get the cheapest bottom-shelf scotch or bourbon you can get just for having with something like coke if you just intend to get senselessly drunk. If you like hot drinks nothing beats brandy coffee with some irish cream like >>18909014 . I'm also a sucker for Ouzo or Pernod, sometimes on its own and sometimes with orange juice.

Drink carbonated/sparkling water instead. You can either buy it at the grocery store or buy yourself a soda stream. You can even add a little bit of orange juice or soda to it to get a watered-down flavor. I love making home made orange soda myself.
