Wraps work well and last a while. Get a tortilla, wrap it up with some sliced ham or chicken or both, that's inexpensive, put some cheese in there and bang you've got lunch.

You can add stuff in there too like some mayo and or peppers, black pepper, garlic, onion, it's very inexpensive and it lasts.

You can make that in the morning and it'll be just as good during lunchtime or later. A sammach doesn't last as long because it gets soggy.
