I also want to see everyone have to make something delicious entirely from frozen dinners/frozen novelty foods.

Still super busy with new career but will definitely try and participate again and also supply at least one prize round.

I microwave fish. Put it in a tupperware, crack the lid and cook for 2 mins. Perfectly steamed salmon.

If things slow down for me at work I'll try and do a monthly contest similar to how you do this one... would give a prize with each one so it would probably have good participation

I do like the idea of a three or four course dinner! That could be fun. Perhaps it would have to be themed somehow to make it more interesting...

Congrats Spork!

I liked the round themes a lot this go around but I really wish we would change the final round from signature dish to something more creative or interesting. I feel like the last round is always anti-climatic because no one really has a "signature dish". I feel like we have all of this energy going into the final and it just peters out and isn't really special. No idea what we would do instead though...

Thanks again for putting this together BB, you did awesome as always!

Not meant to discount either btw, each have their place but comparing the two to each other is really like comparing apples to oranges.

This exactly but I do agree with that other guy that home cooks are not chefs. I cringe every time someone calls me a chef. I am a home cook that gives no shits about presentation; a chef is an artist that makes beautiful and delicious, interesting food. All I care about is that my coworkers 11 year old will eat a serving and say it's awesome.

Same for this Borneo... good god would destroy both of the posts so far.

Well done! I love that you made something hearty and delicious and didn't try and make something ridiculous and over-complicated and call it a "signature dish".

Your plate is a signature dish to me, it's simple but technically diverse and looks absolutely delicious. Nice job!

Seriously Borneo I just got this amazing mental image of ripping into that bottom right section and it made me moist. Also slightly drunk but turkey legs remind me of carnivals and shit. Ugh. I want a turkey leg so bad right now

Oh god. I would fucking devour that right now. I am out of state visiting family so no post from me again this week. But this.. oi.

If I was able to post I would get a local grass fed ribeye from the butcher and make that so it wouldn't really be exciting anyway. Fuck me though if that beef doesn't smell 100x beefier when I grill it. Hnnng.

Yes but I'm pretty sure Borneo sent me an assload of awesome Japanese candy so it worked. She kindled my love of Haw flakes

It totally had people wondering about the flavors. I tried to explain it but all the old white people had no idea what I was talking about :( I think I might have won though so that's cool.

This is gonna be a cool round. Hoping to have time to participate! I've been replaying Skyrim so maybe I would do something from there...

I am doing an IRL cooking thing tomorrow, never done anything in real life so it will be interesting. And it's a chili cookoff of all things... I made Texas style chili but added some berbere that my boss's relative brought us from Ethiopia.

>no one cares
>no friends irl to tell

I thought both pictures looked fine, but I also suck ass at presentation, lol.

It sounds and looks like it would taste awesome...

There's lots of them in the midwest US especially... you can have one anywhere a group of people is gathering, it's just a buffet of different homecooked foods (sometimes a lot of casserole type dishes) that everyone serves themselves and eats together or while mingling. Sort of the white persons tapas.
