Our fridges, freezers and pantry will always have
• carrots
• celery
• onion
• garlic
• fresh, green, leafy vegetables of some sort (right now, it's leaf broccoli, mature spinach, chingensai, radish greens, beet greens and green cabbage)
• at least one root vegetable that's not potato, carrot or onion (right now, that's red radish, baby lobok, beetroot and turnips)
• various cheeses
• several dried fruits (raisins, mango, cantaloupe, dates, figs, cranberries and prunes right now; there may also be cherries)
• full fat milk
• semi skimmed lactose free milk for the missus
• eggs
• butter
• frozen peas
• frozen corn
• frozen artichokes
• meat we got on sale and froze (beef, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, hams, smoked whole turkey that just taste like ham and corned beef right now; just thawed out some strip steaks I'll cook for dinner tonight with sauteed snow peas, butter braised carrots and chingensai-and-garlic mashed potato)
• frozen seafood (shrimp, pollock and whiting right now)
• spam
• tinned chicken
• tinned tuna in oil
• tinned mackerel in olive oil
• bottled apple juice
• smoked fish flakes
• dried meat (pork jerky and chicken floss right now)
• home dried herbs
• home dried soup vegetables
• various cooking fats (soy, olive, lard, bacon render, lamb's tallow, beef tallow and sesame)
• various vinegars (balsamic, apple cider, coconut, cane and malt)
• red wine
• tinned tomatoes
• tinned peas
• cartons of coconut cream
• various spices
• stock cubes and mushroom seasoning
• various flours (plain, bread, semolina, instant masa, chickpea, potato and cornmeal, if that counts)
• noodles of various sorts as well as pasta, rice and oats
• various beans
• homemade pickles
• frozen bell peppers and chillies
• various fresh fruits, but almost always bananas (none right now, but we do have mandarins)
Everything else varies. Sometimes we have junk food. Sometimes we don't.

• Vadas (Hungarian carrot gravy).
• Curried pork pot roast (I'll be making one soon using a pork shoulder since they're cheap right now).
• Tahu isi sayuran (fried crispy tofu pockets stuffed with sauteed vegetables).
• Pastel ayam (basically chicken pot pie with pieces of hard boiled egg formed into hand pies like hot pockets).
• Ragù verde di pollo (blanched, shocked, chopped and pureed mature spinach makes the base of the sauce rather than tomato and chicken wings are used as the meat, but the other ingredients and method are the same as the more typical Neapolitan ragù).
• Gattò di cavolfiore (mashed cauliflower thickened with instant potato flake mixed with eggs and layered with cheese and salumi as a baked casserole, a veg-forward variant of the more common Neapolitan gattò di patate).
• Zeppole napoletane (lemon-flavoured potato dough doughnuts; also really nice as waffles).
• Millionbøf (basically sloppy joes but I'm brown gravy rather than ketchup-based sauce, served with rice or mash)
• Keema pav (basically curried sloppy joes with peas in it).
• Forgot the name, but my nipnong aunt used to cook this spicy mustard leaves dish from Southern Nipland; mustard leaves are blanched and shocked then stir fried in plain oil with garlic, chilli and that fucktardedly strong mustard paste nipnongs like, finished with sesame oil. It does not taste Japanese at all because it actually fucking tastes like something lmao
• Sichuanese eggplant salad (fried eggplant drained and dressed with onion greens and a still-hot, freshly-made hot-and-numbing oil, allowed to cook before eating).
• Yellow split pea soup with smoked fish (salmon or trout are great).
• Pork chops in sauerkraut gravy (mount your roux with sauerkraut and onions then add the stock to make the gravy and re-add the chops in there to finish).
• Beetroot fried rice (garlic, green chili, shredded beetroot fried with rice, finished with Maldives fish and topped with fried egg).

Anyone notice how some foods/meals don't really do much for them, where others can give you the postprandial power to
>run a marathon
>feel clear-headed and innovative at work
>bust out a grueling leg day
>sit down and study for 3 hours straight
>build a house or renovate a bathroom
>steel one's mind and body for a heavy drinking session, hard drug bender, or heroic dose trip
>have multi-orgasmic sex

I'm talking about meals that make you Smart, Strong, and Horny. If you ate that shit 3 times a day just imagine how much better your life would be. What are your
>"I want to be good at life and I want to enjoy it"
meals that act as potentiators for your existence?

For me, it's korean BBQ, a hibachi meal set, and a bison burger with sweet potato fries, all three of which contain ~.75lbs of red meat. No rice and beans and can of tuna bullshit

Fun fact, that big piece of meat inside the oyster shell? That is the oyster's brain. The oyster knows exactly what you want to do with him. If you'd only take the time to listen
